Memorial Weekend

We had a nice and relaxing weekend with lots of pool time and fun, can you believe summer is here?!

Here are the older kids today at our BBQ - that makes it one kid per adult. They had such a good time in the pool and I only had to change Kendal three times because she kept getting in the pool after she put her clothes on, eventually she ended up nudies - nice!

Reagan and Beckett just chillin'. Just check out that mischief face of Reagan, what will she do next? While Beckett is teething he is constantly sticking out his tongue, it's too funny.

Shannon and Tripp (he'll be five months this week). Don't you love the mohawk?

Here are a few pictures from yesterday. I knew that weed looked bad in the background but OMG, thankfully Brian cut it down - whew!

The big man's first official swim, he's a little unsure

Now he's sure

Getting ready

Kendal was giving a lot of instruction, I had to capture a little piece of it

Playing at the park. Kendal is really into dressing herself these days. After water day at school on Friday I had to run errands so I brought a change of clothes. Naturally she didn't want to change out of her bathing suit so instead of fighting that battle Kendal wore her bathing suit into the mall. In this picture she also decided what she was going to wear. After waking up at 6:00 Kendal was already dressed in this outfit and even though she couldn't get her pj shirt off she cleverly put her other shirt over the top. So, off to the park we went.

Painting

Kendal wanted to paint the other day, I didn't know she wanted to paint her body too!

Happy Birthday Grammie!!!

Today is a special birthday for Grammie and although we didn't get to see her we know she is having a wonderful time visiting Cole, Jackson, Cooper, Uncle Doug and Aunt Sarah in Africa. Wish we were there too!!!!!

We celebrated a little early last week, Kendal picked out the cake

Make a wish, we love you!

Preschool Music/Award Ceremony

As part of Kendal's last week of preschool the parents were invited to attend an Awards/Music Ceremony for the class, what a riot. The kids sang 3 songs then all received an award of completion of the class. While this day probably meant nothing to Kendal I hope I will never forget it, these are the moments that make it all worth it!

Preschool

Here is Kendal with her award. I though each kid got some award for something special nope, it was just a general award, I bet the teacher couldn't come up with that many;)

Gearing up to sing
(I don't know how the teacher finds anything in that classroom, it's a little cluttered if you ask me)

Weekend

I wish I could say our weekend was a little more eventful. Of course we did the usual events, doughnut runs, ride our bike to the park, merry-go-round and the train ride but unfortunately Brian picked up strep throat. Needless to say the kids and I did our own thing all day in hopes daddy can recover, NOW!

I volunteered to make cookies for Kendal's class for tomorrow and after swearing to never make sugar cookies again (decision based on her 3rd birthday party cookies, I can't tell you how many batches of cowboy boots and hats I missed up - poor Karen she just sat there patiently trying to help me figure out a solution). We made a few alphabet cookies and once again they didn't turn out like the pictures. After Kendal was done I quickly sliced the round slice and bake cookie dough and added sprinkles - just as good, right? Nobody better be disappointed that they didn't get their first letter of their name for a cookie. This just goes along with my theme lately, nothing ever goes as planned!

Beckett and Harley

This really isn't much but I wanted to update and this was the first thing I came across, Beckett is such a snuggler (whew, at least one of my kids is).

A little behind

Where does the time go? I swear it's only moments that go by and then I look back and I'm behind on my posts. We had a great weekend in Tucson at my mom's retirement party and Old Tucson. My mom's coworkers threw her an awesome going away 60's party and I hate to admit that we had to leave before the kerokee really got going. Anyway, here are a few pictures from this past week.

Don't ya love this picture? My two men!!!

We decided to go to Old Tucson and boy did Kendal have a great time. She rode the horse, Buckshot, all by herself, we rode the stagecoach, the merry-go-round 4 times, the train 4 times and the cars 5 times. It was an exhausting day for the adults but Kendal never seemed to tire.

Such a trooper

I swear these are not Fredrick's of Hollywood shoes. Kendal calls them her Sleeping Beauty shoes I think because they're pink. Oh and yes, she had to wear them to the park today!

Mr. busy climbing under the table. Yep, food on his face and rice on his head...all boy!

Body Language

The other day we decided to have a dance party, all got into it even Beckett.

Another disclaimer - sorry about the shaky camera as you can imagine I was also dancing. I also cut the video but it somehow did not get cut on here, hmm.

Whose Day?!

Baseball game - check
Hotdogs and beer - check
The mall (but not any mall, the overcrowded outlet mall) for lunch - check
The PGA Superstore to buy golf clubs - check
Oh wait, was it Father's Day?

Recital Take 2

Kendal had her second dance performance on Friday night. After going through my many check lists I decided she was set to go, after all she has done this before so she is practically a professional. Like most children at this age they never seem to go as planned, let's just say that Kendal peaked at her first performance last fall. We still love our little Broadway Baby but she definitely will not be getting any call backs for this performance. Here are two short clips (she is the second one in on the left, silver and white):

I think he likes apples

You mine as well have it yourself...

Kendal Reading

Kendal is reading the Lightening McQueen DVD case (and yes her dress is on backwards, she put it on after going the bathroom).

Random Pics

What's with the fingers in the mouths?
Beckett loves to push my exercise ball around the room and pat on it!
At the splash pad, check out Kendal's face.

Here are some much overdue pictures (they're not the best but it's a nice change over Carrot Top).
