Easter Bunny 2012

With Baby Sayle in town we knew we had to try an Easter Bunny picture. It was such a great idea unfortunately only 2 out of the 4 kids were willing to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap (Beckett and Camden were terrified) so girl cousin picture it is.

Becks hitting the baseball on the T

Quick video but the were all having fun playing baseball at Grammie and Grandpa's house.

Cousins

We LOVE our cousin Baby Sayle

Sayle is the sweetest most easy going baby (and of course beautiful)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vegas

Going to Vegas is always fun because you can just be a kid again and no one cares (I can't remember the last time I had to tear myself away from the dance floor at 3:30AM). While Jeff, Lara and baby Sayle were in AZ for Spring break we headed up to Vegas for a little dancin' and gambelin'. Fortunately the 4 kids 5 and under did not kill my parents but I still think they are trying to catch up on their sleep and sanity. They say kids are a blessing but I also think Grandparents are a blessing!!!!!!

We saw Le Reve' (an acrobatic show based in water) at the Wynn. It's really amazing to see the performers doing all these incredible tricks and by the end I really couldn't fathom having my hair wet all the time, that would be difficult itself.

Jeff and Lara

Ready to win money and dance but I think the guy in the background is ready to dance with us.

Lindsay's Bridal Shower

Last weekend my mom hosted a bridal shower at her house for a friend. As usual every detail was executed to perfection and everyone had a wonderful and relaxing time. Unfortunately I was too busy at the shower to take pictures so I didn't get one of the bride, the families or much of the decor but take a look... it's very chic.

Lindsay got a lot of great and useful presents

One of three wedding cookies, the other two were really gorgeous too

The food table

The table setting
I'm really bummed you can't see this up close - my mom did khaki lines with little crystal overlays, silver chargers, china, a huge diamond ring napkin ring, place cards, a cookie, cream and white flowers wrapped in burlap and string and large diamond chunks as accents on the table.

The cake (it matched the card in the flower centerpieces)
In the background is a mousse sampler we made with little spoons

Cam

This is how I found Cam walking around today. When I say let's take a picture he automatically goes to the steps and sits down.

Transportation Day

Dragging out the hubby for Transportation Day turned out to be a success. What kid doesn't like looking at buses, cranes, helicopters, police cars, trucks, etc? Upon leaving Kendal wanted to know, "how does the policeman know how fast you are going?" A valid question I thought. Especially after she reads the speed limit signs and tells me how fast I need to be going.

Inside the SWAT van. Let's hope this is the only experience they have with the SWAT team.

Boy o' Boy

Cam is literally sleeping in these pictures and Beckett is still trying to snuggle

Pretty much sums it up...

At least two years ago my mom and I decided we needed a girls trip. After finalizing a date that works for everyone we get our reservations and we were set to go, San Francisco here we come (Brian and my dad are ready to watch the kids). The countdown begins...

Tuesday... I get an email for Kendal, Beckett and Camden from my dad. They are supposed to check the boxes of things that they want to do on this "boys weekend".

Wednesday.... I finally tell the kids they will be spending time with Daddy and Grandpa. I tell the kids to check the boxes they want to do over the weekend.

Here is the checklist...
Beckett's responses are in blue, Kendal's in pink

They want to do everything on the list but with only 3 days I had to limit them to one pick per person per page...

After checking off her boxes immediately she thinks that grandpa needs a checklist himself so she creates one for him (I love her ever thinking mind) ...

Thursday... this is what I wake up to. Poor Brian has Shingles!

Friday... After being checked into our flight, I know I cannot leave Brian. I drop the kids off in Tucson for Grandparent weekend while I play nurse to my poor hubby. After a week and a half of hell he is finally on the mend. Thank goodness, I hate seeing him so miserable. And yes, we rebooked our flight to San Francisco - let's hope it works this time.
