Clean-up

I know I haven't said this enough but Kendal and Beckett's grandparents are amazing!!! Brian and I had to do some housekeeping items on our rental by Monday. We were trying to get it all done but just found it impossible to do our honey dos with the kids (imagine that), so Saturday at 11:00 AM I called in reinforcements and my parents drove the 2 hours to get here and help out. Not only did they watch the kids but they also did manual labor (this is not the first time). I have to admit I am a little sore from pulling weeds, I'm embarrassed to say, but just think of the calories I burned and the progress we made. We are rockin' and rollin' now!

Sleeping Beauty took her job of holding Khumbas on the leash very seriously. Khumba was getting ready to go back home but Rusty and Harley were hoping for a free ride to camp.

This picture has nothing to do with anything but I had to post, who wouldn't love this smile?!?!

Update on scooting progress

Beck started here (above) and went to here (below) all while I was doing a puzzle with Kendal.

I thought I would provide an update on the movement. As you can see Beck is still not crawling but pushing up more and scooting backwards all around the room. It's hilarious how quickly he moves and where he ends up. Stay tuned....

This week

Whew this week has flown by, it's been nonstop since Monday but I can't complain, I like it that way but I am thrilled tomorrow is Friday (except that I have to go to the dentist).

These days I hardly feel like I get any pictures of the two kids so when I do I feel the need to post them. So, here is the picture...not the greatest but yes they both made it!
Kendal wanted to take some pictures with the camera and reluctantly I agreed. Here is what was on the camera when I uploaded the pictures. I guess she took what was important to her (I won't mention that none of her family members where in the picture;). I gotta say though, not bad, the objects were in the center.

Just Chatting or Sqealing

Sunday Stroll

It's amazing what a man (my husband) will do for golf. The Accenture Golf Tournament was in Tucson over the weekend so we loaded up the kids and dogs in Brian's great, but small, work vehicle (that doesn't make a ton of sense but you get the idea). We have large dogs so they both must fit in the back of the car. Apparently it's not very comfortable for them back there because Rusty managed to stealth mode it up to the middle seat and sit down on Brian's work bag. It was only a little later that we noticed when Kendal said, "Rusty's not moving." Beckett didn't seem to mind, it gave him something new to play with.

Check-ups

Last week I went for Beckett's 6 month well-check and Kendal's 3 year check-up. They both did great and are progressing on track for them.

Height: 27 inches = 72%
Weight: 17.4 lbs = 43%
His left tear duct is still closed but the Dr. wants to wait another 3 months to see if it will clear on its own, just like the right one did at 4 months. He's eating and growing like a mad man and wins the award for the happiest baby ever!

First things first, don't you just LOVE the dress? Aunt LaLa and Uncle Jeff got her this for her birthday, as you can imagine it is a HUGE hit around here - she put it on instantly!!!!!
Height: 35 3/4 = 19%
Weight: 28lbs = 20%
At this rate I don't think Brian's push for a plus size model is going to pan out.

He's trying

OK so he's going mostly backwards and just a little but he is pushing up more and more with his arms. See those legs? They move like that ALL the time (sometimes I even hear music playing in the middle of the night because he's kicked it on)!!!

Princess Playdate

Kendal had a friend over today and she couldn't wait to play dress up with Bailey. So here you go, Tinkerbell and Ariel. Thank you Chloe and Eve!!!!

This just makes me laugh, here's Kendal and Beckett's Valentine for Daddy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know most men would say that Valentine's Day is overrated and just a day that women made up and maybe it is (don't we love to be reminded how wonderful we are) but it's one of those days that is just fun!
Kendal had a Valentine's Party at school, obviously here she is in front of her classroom door.

Not exactly sure what she's thinking here but don't ya just love her shoes (she does too), I think we're a holiday early.

The kids all had their balloons and jumped to music, so funny!

Valentine's Day doughnuts...as you can see Kendal ate the choclate off the top of hers.

Yumm!!!

Romeos

Valentine presents, clearly no one is interested in the cameraman.

Oh our fun filled investment. Since we have people looking at the house to rent we decided it was time to fix the grass, so we went to Home Depot and got some Sod. Here is my hard working husband laying the Sod. This was after he took me to my Valentine's lunch at McDondald's (I sat in the car with Beck while he got the food). It's not exactly what I had in mind for a nice lunch but I guess I could've had a peanut butter and jelly at home but boy doesn't that sod look great?!

You're getting there honey, looks great, oh and don't pass out on me!!!

Finally!

And that was our Valentine's Day!

Pony Party

We had Kendal's Pony Party over the weekend to celebrate her 3rd Birthday! We decided to have a pony appear at the party to give the kids a ride, as you can imagine it was a hit. All the kids waited patiently in line for a turn (which is not easy to do if you're between the ages of 1-4). I tried to take a picture of every kid on the pony but most of them were looking down because they were so fascinated with Stormy.

Nana came all the way from Texas to give Kendal the blinged out birthday outfit

Happy Birthday Kendal

Today is Kendal's official 3rd Birthday!!! It's hard to believe that 3 years have passed since Kendal was born and although there are some days where I feel like she's been 2 forever (um, tantrums) most of the time it feels like just yesterday she was born. I really wish there was some way to capture the years so I can remember every thing that she's done and how far she's come, she is growing up so fast and she continues to amaze me...we are truly blessed!

Picking up Kendal from school. She took cupcakes, everyone sang Happy Birthday and she got to wear a birthday crown and sticker (as you can imagine the crown lasted a total of 4 minutes).

Is she surfing?

Daddy had a break at his meeting so we drove to see him so he could wish Twinkles a Happy Birthday and share a cupcake. I love how everyone is doing their own thing, is this not the life of kids or what?!

The Birthday girl is still hanging in there, barely.

Capping the night off with yet another cupcake...she's 3!!!
