Havin' a snack

I'm not really sure why I started filming this or rather why I kept filming but it cracked me up of Cam, he's a little eater.

Pedal to the Medal

That title might be a bit of stretch okay a lot of a stretch since Kendal doesn't do anything quickly when it comes to her bike. So last week when she said she was ready to take her training wheels off we jumped at her enthusiam but really we knew she had no idea what that really meant. Nevertheless off they came. We have been working with her almost daily (and trust me, this is a workout for me) and she is cautiously getting it but more importantly I am proud of her for trying!!!

I am coming to the conclusion that it is not the camera that is blurry but it's me!!!

Bye bye training wheels

This scene went on longer than we anticipated

Not sure if you can tell here but Beckett and Cam are hanging out in between the door and the screen

Sitting at the table and Beckett says, "Mommy I look like a train driver". I guess it was the stripes on the shirt.

It's not what she's holding that's interesting it's what's happening behind her...

Happy Valentine's Day

Hope you're feeling especially loved today
(Becks has the same shirt as Cam, he just really wanted to wear his skateboarding shirt instead and Kendal is holding a bag of rocks).

Getting Older

How can I forget to mention the God questions?! Lately Kendal has been asking me questions about creation/reincarnation and God. I have no idea how to answer her curious mind (which I love) but I think I better get a book, I just haven't figured out how I'm going to have the time to read it!

A few pics from last weekend

Kendal has only been 5 for a week but she already seems older to me. Yesterday I encountered another old moment when the girl up the street asked Kendal to come over and play. The next thing I knew Kendal was on her bike halfway up the street following the girl to her house. For a few minutes I was one of those parents who lets their kids roam the neighborhood. How did this happen overnight?

Kendal and Becks really like to make airplanes, helicopters and rocket ships out of their blocks. Here they are (in Cam's crib) with their designed airplanes - you can't see the "wheels" from this angle, dang.

Kendal had a playdate last week...here is Repunzel, Repunzel and Prince...I don't think the Prince is into princesses just yet.

On the way out the door last week I was really in a hurry to get to school on time so I was telling everyone to get their shoes on STAT. With Cam in my arms and running around making sure I had everything I kept telling Becks I would help him put his shoes on in a minute. A few minutes later I looked over and Kendal was helping Becks put his shoes on. I had to take a picture to document which of course only made Kendal more late.

You know when you have one of those days where nothing seems to go right?! That was my Friday. Thursday night I was up half the night with Beckett when finally at 4am he said his ear hurt - awesome an ear infection in the middle of the night. Miraculously I got him back to sleep but at 6:30 Cam is ready to rock and roll. I get up, come downstairs and a dog has not only peed but pooped in the house!!! WHAT?! They haven't done this in years (except when Rusty was on steroids which is another story in itself). I clean that up and get breakfast going. I figure now would be a good time to start making dinner for 2 friends who recently had some unfortunate things happen, so bring on the cooking. As I'm cooking I realize I am 3 ingredients short, time to go to the store. As I'm getting ready to go to the store with the 3 kids Becks decides to throw the football, it hits the plates on the wall and they come crashing down luckily only 1 breaks - time to vacuum. I go to the store, finish the cooking, drop off the dinners and now to the doctor (which wouldn't have been that bad if I wasn't just there the day before for Camden's well check).

I have been trying to get the kids to stay in their beds at night and in the early hours of the morning so I decided to incentivize with a sticker chart. On Friday in between breakfast and the store I figure now would be a good time to create their own charts well, they did. Only instead of doing 1 sticker per day they did all the stickers all over the place which totally defeated the purpose of the chart. However, I will try again only next time I will be paying more attention.

Just for entertainment

Nana and Granda Visit

Okay here are a few more pictures that Nana and Granda took over the weekend. They always come for the kids birthdays and we love having them.

I'm 5!!!

Family

Date Night - YES!!!

With Nana and Granda in town we decided to head to Tucson for the gem show and Old Tucson

Does Cam look like trouble to you?!?!

At Old Tucson

Kendal hopped on that horse ready to ride, he was huge and she was fearless

Delivering a speech

Unfortunately or fortunately Cam is the only one who understands what he's saying.

Monster Trucks

A couple of weeks ago Brian, Grandpa and several other friends took the kids to see Monster Trucks. Even though this was Beckett's first trip to the show it was not Kendals and just like several years before she had a blast. Thankfully our crowd did not fit in with the normal Monster Truck crowd, next year Cam is in! Here is Beckett watching it on tv, he even tells us he can't hear it in the video!

Kendal Turns 5

It's amazing how time flies. Kendal turned 5 last week and it seems like yesterday I was just toting her around town. Over the weekend we had a unicorn party at the park (Kendal requested), it's funny how she seems older already.

It's never convenient to have your camera not working exactly the way you want so I didn't get a lot of pictures (ok hardly any) but here's what I got...

My Mother-in-Law, Karen, and I attempted unicorn cake pops... she was so patient and we had lots of good laughs at them!

Grammie's incredible sugar cookies (princess theme of course)

See, fuzzy. Kendal's birthday crown from school
