Circus

This weekend was pretty uneventful however, we did go to the circus today. Kendal totally loved seeing the trapeez artists and the animals (I'm not even going to think of what they do to the animals)and by looking at this picture I'm not sure who had more fun;)

Hat

Kendal has been going around all weekend putting on her cowboy hat and talking to herself (of course she's not talking in this one but you can imagine), it's hilarious!

The Hose

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!! We hope you have a WONDERFUL day...enjoy some cake and a Kronenberg.

Here are a couple of videos from Tucson - Grandpa and Kendal were having such a fun time with the hose (as you can imagine she started out in her dress but ended up in her bloomers). Aren't Grandpa's are the best?!

Kendal gives a shout out to the dog, Khumba!

Having fun

Tucson "Tired" Trip

I am too tired to type tonight so I am going to go watch "So You Think You Can Dance" (love that show) and hit the hay. We did manage to get Grammie and Grandpa off today - well we think, I haven't heard anything from them since Atlanta and believe me the weren't even supposed to be in Atlanta but at any rate they're off...Bon Voyage!

Tucson visit

So, we're in Tucson now which is nice because Kendal is totally entertained by all the new toys, animals and grandparents! However, the air conditioning is out in the back wing so we had to readjust the sleeping arrangments...Kendal did fine in the pack-n-play until 4am but that's life with a child - poor Kendal, poor grandparents.

Grammie and Grandpa are leaving Thursday for 2 weeks but they'll get to see Cole and Action Jackson so they are pumped - we're bummed we're not going:(

HAPPY day late BIRTHDAY to KAREN!!!!

I'll post some pictures when I get back.

A couple funny videos

Here are a few videos from over the weekend (didn't want to overwhelm you last night but it's probably too late anyway).

San Diego

Well, I hate to write tonight because it means that we have returned from San Diego and boy the Tooke family really knows how to host. We stayed in La Jolla at the family house and did everything from feed the giraffes (or gaffes from what Kendal calls them) go to the beach, and hang by the pool. It was such a relaxing time and we hated to return to "real life" but San Diego just couldn't keep up with my unimpressive white self and unmanageable frizzy hair. So until next time...stay classy San Diego - we'll be back!
By the way - If anyone has ever tired to get three kids together under 18 months to sit still, smile and look in the direction of the camera they understand that it’s pretty much impossible (you’ve probably have noticed by now that these were taken on two different sittings on the same night) so, although these aren’t the greatest pictures we still had to put the kiddos together for a snapshot.

The hosts

Of course you've got to give it up for the hostesses with the mostesses!!!

It's TRUE!!!!

Okay you guys I have to tell you I was a little uncertain that Anne and Scott acutally did have a child so we had to see for ourselves and...it's TRUE and Jackson is soooo adorable!!!!! Enjoy the picture, this guy doesn't waste anytime sitting around, he crawls all over the place!

Proof

Just in case there was ever any doubt, she is my daughter!

Three funny things today

As usual Kendal had three moments today that made me laugh...

First, she would carry her "My Dog Carl" book around the house and say, "Hi Carl". Then she would put it down to read and point out every detail in the book...Carl, the baby, the steps, etc.

Second

Second, I put Kendal in the stroller today but as I was loading her back in the car after our errands were done, I unbuckled her. However, Kendal is fasicinated with buckles and how they fit together (she likes the booster seat too for this reason) so we had to sit in the HOT parking lot for 10 minutes while Kendal kept trying to fit the buckle together. She didn't care that it was 113 degrees today because every time I tried to lift her out she would shake her head, say "no" and keep on pursing the buckle.

Third

Third, she is officially blowing kisses...

Kisses

Apparently kissing dogs is a bad idea (for multiple reasons) but how could I not capture this?!?!

Pool pic

Grammie came to see us today!!! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture but we watched Kendal show Grammie all her new tricks, including emptying all her shoes just so she could find the shoes mate (eventually she found it). Grandparents are the best, they sit on the floor and are thorougly entertained as the kids bring them book after book for hours. I mean who else wouldn't mind going to fast food just because the baby is approaching bedtime but needs quick bite, has to run around and a place they can easily escape if the baby gets crazy? We love ya!
Enjoy the photo that has nothing to do with today but Kendal's fun time at the pool over the weekend!

What she's doing now

Kendal is currently fascinated with....chairs and climbing, awesome!!!

Kendal loves to say...Kendal has always been verbal but recently she likes to say - hi mommy, hi daddy, hi doggies

Kendal recently did something so funny/cute when she...tried to pick up and carry the box that the TV came in (which was at least 6ft tall).

The personality trait I see beginning to develop that is rather new is...her answering my questions. I'll say...are you having fun and she'll respond (mostly with "yes" - I am taking advantage of this while I can). The other day I said, do you love mommy and she said "yes" then I asked her if she loves daddy and she said "maybe"...he didn't think it was funny as I did but I did get my karma back when she did this to me tonight:)

Her favorite toy of the moment is...her table and chairs, oh and shoes...she loves to put on shoes!

I can occupy her easy by...I can't, she moves from one thing to the next in the blink of an eye!!!!!!

Kendal's favorite time of day is...Kendal is usually always in a good mood but after she gets up from her nap, she is so perky!

When Kendal is in a bad mood, she...starts to arch her back and says "NO" it's a rather FUN time!

She melts my heart when...I ask her for a kiss and she leans in and kisses me (slobbery and all)!

Don't cha know, it's Harley

Today was a fun filled day of swimming. Melora, Peyton and Cooper and Rachel and Colin came over for a dip in the pool, it was refreshing and a good time was had by all (at least I did). Kendal also had to hug Harley a few times today and as you can see in the clip, she knew it was Harley...how could I ask such a stupid question?!?!?!

Boots

And of course later in the day, back to the boots!

Chuck E Cheese

For those of you have have not been to Chuck E Cheese in awhile consider yourself lucky. Unless you have kids or are a grandparent you have absolutely no reason to go but especially avoid it in the summer, it's like seeing kids on Red Bull...where do they find the energy?! Anyway, we went today and while it's fun watching your own kid (until they take off because they've spotted something much more interesting than whatever it is they're doing) I take pleasure knowing they have to check your kids ID before you leave the place - thank God.

Kendal is researching and found - big sunglasses are now in style

These speak for themselves

Golf

As we all guessed Brian has already had Kendal "golfing". She has been on the driving range several times and over the weekend he thought he would work on her swing. So, here's a video of daddy teaching Kendal how to swing a club. What you don't see in the video is after she swings the club she "runs" after the ball and brings it back and points to the ground (as to say that's where she wants to set the ball for the next swing). She thinks it's so funny and everytime now she sees her club and says... "golf" (mom got major points for teaching Twinkles the word)! Look out LPGA!!!

Weekend

As the weekend comes to a close, I thought I would share some of the highlights. For starters Chase was in town so the boys got to do some male bonding on the golf course while Kendal and I watched the Belmont and I listened to her clicking for the horses on TV. Saturday night we got our 13-year-old babysitter (who organizes Kendal's toys, bonus 2-for-1) to celebrate Dave's birthday at a swanker place in Scottsdale, Furio. Thanks to Pete who picked the place, Chase's fashonably white shoes fit right in with the trendy white leather couches. Needless to say the weekend was a success and Kendal's funny moment of the day is when I caught her standing in the dog's bowl with both feet!

Hi Rusty

Lately Kendal has been walking around saying Hi and then adding your name (ex. hi mommy, hi daddy)...so of course she has moved on to the dogs.

Let's see if you can watch a video.

Starting a blog

Okay so everyone always asks about Twinkles so I decided to start a blog (we'll see if it's a good idea later). I hope you all get this, it's a test.
