Weekend

Most of our weekend was consumed with getting Kendal back up to par from her fever/coughing/runny nose mess but I am thinking we might have turned a corner (at least I hope). Besides the doughnut run this morning (where she ate all her chocolate frosting off the top of the doughnut and discarded the rest) I managed to get Kendal happy and actually willing to pose for the camera. I was beginning to wonder where she came up with those moves when I realized I watch a show called, America's Next Top Model. I honestly think she watches the girls pose for the camera on the show and imitates them - since we all know I am not doing this!!!

Fashion side note - check out her shoes, aren't they hilarious? They're like flip flop moccasins...love them! Also, Kendal has been wearing her pretty princess sparkle dress for 4 days (yes I said 4 days) in a row now, my washing machine hasn't stopped. I will let her wear it everyday for the rest of her life if it makes her feel pretty. I guess the ever dependable "little black dress" starts even at this age.

Don't ya just love this face?!

Girls Night Out

What woman doesn't love a mani/pedi? So, for ladies night this month we decided to celebrate birthdays with manicures and pedicures. The shop stayed open late and let us bring in food and drinks. Needless to say we had a great time and we will definitely be back!

3 months old

Three months ago today I was in the hospital feeling nauseous but happy because a new member had arrived. We are so happy he joined our family, we cannot imagine life without him!

Coffee with Grandpa

One advantage of Grandpa having an office in Phoenix is when get to see him periodically. Kendal loves this of course because she got to have a chocolate doughnut and a scone for breakfast and tickle time with Grandpa.

So much for technology

Ok so it's great when it works but it's for the birds when it doesn't. Last week for some unknown reason our computer decided to not work. Luckily after taking a few days off it's back up and running - at least for now. Nevertheless we had a great week and Brian had a weekend he'll never forget. ESPN Gameday was at TCU for the TCU vs. Utah game so of course he flew back for the momentous event. After reviving Brian from his whirlwind weekend he made me relive the Gameday experience by watching the DVR approximately 27 times pointing out his whereabouts every time the camera panned the crowd. Somebody please tell Brian they saw him on TV holding the "Me" sign, maybe he'll finally delete the segment...maybe.

Tonight to we tried to get a Christmas card picture but underestimated the amount of pictures you need to take in order to get a halfway decent one (good thing there's still time before Christmas), who knows what you guys will end up with this year;) Here is a picture of Kendal posing with her friends, Royce, Reagan and Riley.
Kendal wanted to wear her horse outfit that grammie got for her. It looked adorable but it was sort of off set by her headband and her jellies that were 2 sizes to big. You can believe she was determined to keep them on and by the time we got to Dunkin Doughnuts her headband was backwards.

Smiley Becks

Apparently we bake a lot. This time however I was actually making a meal for a friend who just had a baby. I put the butter in the bowl and Kendal decided to add flour but...she didn't stop.

Going for an outing. My pictures wouldn't be the same if the vacuum wasn't in the background.

Photos

As some of you may know Brian and I have taken on a new investment, a new house. It just so happens to be the house next door and while some of you might be frightened that your landlords are so close Brian has convenienced me that it's a great idea and we wouldn't anyone there who didn't treat it properly (which of course is true). Nevertheless, it needs a few minor touch-ups so last weekend we busted out the paint and got rolling.

Does this make anyone else nervous besides me?

Daddy's work assistant (I'm just glad it wasn't me:)

He didnt' take the job too seriously

Tap/Ballet

Kendal knows she is going to be in a recital for dance class so I ask her what she learns during class and she gets on her heels and taps one foot on the ground and says, "digging in the dirt."

Texas for Homecoming

Over the weekend we headed to Texas for TCU Homecoming. We celebrated Aunt Nikki's birthday, visited friends, dressed to impress at The Baade's Halloween party, took family photos, went to the TCU football game, trick-or-treated and baptised Beckett...whew! We had a blast hanging out with friends and family and as always the weekend was too short. Here are a few pics...

At The Baade's Halloween party. Trudy had goodie bags and pumpkins out for the kids to paint, what a hostess.

The girls (sorry for the fuzziness - it's not your eyes)
