Tricks

Beckett has been wanting to stand a lot more lately which is fun to watch but also a little scary thinking of my future and how mobile he already is. This video cracks me up because he doesn't really know what to do when the ball disappears.

This is Beckett's new favorite game, pick up the ball, throw the ball, pick up the ball....
Side note - that unbearably awful noise in the background is our washing machine, does that sound good to you?

A few pics from this week

Believe it or not but Kendal is actually having fun with her brother (of course he adores her). I'm not sure how the school bus ended up this way but it provided some new entertainment... for a couple of minutes anyway!

This is Kendal and her friends at a playdate today. The funny thing is the last time they were over the first thing they wanted to do was put on Kendal's dresses and shoes, then the princess dresses (Thanks Eve and Chloe). I laugh because I can't ever see Beckett and his friends doing this, at least I hope not!

Beckett and Kyle at Peter Piper yesterday. Kyle is only 3 weeks younger but doesn't Beck look so much bigger? Of course he did have a bottle, a bowl of rice cereal and vegetables and a breadstick for lunch.

When she's in the mood for her picture to be taken she's in the mood!

videos

As you can see Beckett starts to dance but Kendal really gets into it.

Becks loves to walk with his new walker a friend let us borrow but of course he goes straight, runs into walls and gets stuck.

Just entertaining himself

Few pics

We had a pretty uneventful weekend. Brian got strep throat again and left for California on Saturday. So, the kids and I did the usual hanging out, park, errands, etc. I have to tell you that summer is officially here. The kids and I walked to the park at 8:00 AM and was it hot already! Luckily we left an hour or so later and even Kendal said, "I want to take a break always" while riding her tricycle on the way home.

You are witnessing a miracle in this photo, it was taken in the afternoon on Saturday!

Becks has decided her likes to get into the pantry and pull things off the shelf (who me?), it makes for quite the clean up. He also wants to climb everything (including standing and trying to get out of the bathtub) and yesterday I found him head first in a large box feet kicking up in the air and everything...if only the camera was handy.

Water Time

Yesterday I took the kids to this water park. It's great because not only does it have this really awesome dumping water structure (that Kendal does not like to get near) the water is really shallow and it has a lazy river. The three of us had a great time but boy was I wiped after two hours...not Kendal!

Kendal also started her first swimming lesson of this year. While trying to prep Kendal on what would happen (since she is all about wanting to know everything and everything that is going to happen) I told her she might go underwater she replied, "but I don't like to get my face wet," like daughter like mother. Surprisingly she did great the first ten minutes but then she saw the other two kids crying and proceeded to cry, the poor teacher.

Today we kicked off our summer movie pass which is $7 for 10 movies every week for 10 weeks. Kendal loved it and I would've too if I didn't spend half the movie taking Beckett from the top of the stairs down so he could climb back up again. Regardless we had a great time and thankfully it's a theater full of kids and parents so no one thought twice about my "workout".
