Last weekend my mom, Camden and I headed to Florida for my sister-in-law's baby shower. The weekend was packed full of activities and what a beautiful shower we had, it's always wonderful celebrating new babies-to-be.

Disneyland
Yep, we did it and survived. Two weekends ago we loaded the grandparents and kids and headed to the happiest place on earth. I really wanted to see the kids enjoy Disneyland at these stages in life, so young and vulnerable, and what fun it was to see. While I remember Disneyland being much bigger and newer (they need to redo a lot of the exhibits), the kids LOVED it and we all had a wonderful time. Grammie set up breakfast with the princesses which was the ultimate with Kendal and Becks still talks about Mickey Mouse. I have to say I never thought of Disneyland being a dream vacation spot for me but these past few years with Kendal have been so fun to see. While her excitement for princesses has grown I just couldn't wait to take her because I know some day all of that will be gone and I will be just left with the memories of seeing her joy. Being a parent makes you see things so differently and I am so thankful for that!
Daddy bought embroidered hats for the kids, so sweet
Becks can hardly contain his excitement
Kendal at the princess breakfast. Of course she had to wear her Ariel dress (well she actually wore it two days in a row, on the drive over "so we won't waste any time getting there" and one day there). Even though it was cold Kendal took off her jacket when the princesses roamed the room for autographs and pictures so the "princesses can see my dress."
Not quite the same enthusiasm but he did have fun (despite his ear infections while he was there and the ER visit for medicine, but that's another story).
Grammie and Grandpa - our lifesavers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kendal waiting for Tinkerbell
Mommy did a horrible job packing for this trip, I was not prepared for the cool weather!
What we did a lot of.....waiting in line
Back to the princess breakfast (sorry a little out of order). Ariel, Kendal's favorite!!!!
Snow White
Aurora
Hilarious on many levels
Super cool - Lightning McQueen
Throw
Beckett is a natural athlete, we can tell already. Lately he'll go grab his football, bring it to me and say, "mommy throw". He got a little distracted in this video but afterall he is only 19 months!

Personalities
I love this picture because it pretty much sums up all of their personalities...
Tomorrow we are going to Disneyland with Grammie and Grandpa and Kendal is so excited she can hardly stand it. Earlier today she told me she wanted "to wear her Ariel dress so that we don't waste time tomorrow."

Horse Barn
While out shopping at Joanne's today Kendal asked if she could paint. I love that Kendal enjoys her art projects so I encouraged her and of course she picked out the horse barn. While briefing debating what project to get Becks I decided two horse barns was perfect (when in doubt just buy two of the same thing since one always wants what the other has;)

Hoops
Becks loves to shoot hoops so from time-to-time I catch him moving the basketball hoop around the house. Becks says in the video, "ugh, oh miss, a bounce, ball." Yesterday I caught him going head first into the bathtub to shoot hoops. I can only imagine what we're in for when Camden starts getting in on the action....

Texas Trip
Last weekend we headed back to Texas for my Freshman year roommate's wedding. The wedding was held at the TCU Robert Carr Chapel (can you believe neither Brian or I have ever been to a wedding there before) and the reception was at the Museum of Modern Art in Fort Worth. It was such a beautiful ceremony and reception.
On Sunday we got Camden baptized at Brian's church growing up, The United Methodist Church (does that count as attending as part of my New Year's Resolution). Family and friends attended in our special day, thank you!
Heather and Me (she looked gorgeous not sure why I'm slouchy)
Me and Brian before we left for the wedding - Brian's suit is another story but he still looked handsome, of course.
Friday Night
Brian was so wonderful and surprised me with a room at the Omni Hotel in downtown Ft. Worth. We relaxed (for an hour but hey that still counts), went to dinner, watched The Ten Tenors and then hit Pete's Piano Bar. The night was great but it was the following morning that was a little tough, we didn't as fresh for family pictures.
Cheers
I need to work on my posture for pictures!
He's gonna think I'm crazy for posting this picture, haha!
